About Profexo HVAC — Toronto's Heating, Cooling & Water Treatment Company

Most people don't think about their furnace until the heat stops working. They don't think about their water heater until there's no hot water on a cold Monday morning. And they definitely don't think about their ductwork until their energy bill arrives and something feels off.We get it. HVAC is not the most exciting topic in the world until it becomes urgent. Profexo HVAC exists for those moments. We're a Toronto-based heating, cooling, and water treatment company built on one idea: when something goes wrong with your home comfort system, you should have a company you can call without hesitation. Someone local. Someone certified. Someone who shows up and fixes it properly. That's what we've been doing for homeowners and businesses across the Greater Toronto Area and that's what we'll keep doing.

Who We Are

Profexo HVAC is a full-service HVAC and water treatment company serving residential and commercial clients in Toronto and the surrounding GTA communities.

We are not a franchise operation. We are not a call centre that dispatches random subcontractors. We are a real team of certified technicians who work together, train together, and are accountable to the same standard on every job.

Every gas technician on our team holds TSSA certification, as required by Ontario's Technical Standards and Safety Authority. We are also proud members of the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada, a professional body that holds its member contractors to a higher standard of workmanship and ethics than the industry minimum.

When a Profexo technician arrives at your home or business, they are qualified, prepared, and ready to work. They carry common parts on the truck. They explain what they find without burying it in technical language. And they don't leave until the job is done right.

How We Got Here

The honest version of how Profexo started is this: we kept seeing the same problems in the Toronto HVAC market, and we got tired of watching homeowners deal with them.

Quotes that changed once the technician was inside. Installations done quickly rather than correctly. Companies that were easy to reach before the sale and impossible to reach after. Contractors who recommended full system replacements on equipment that needed a repair.

We started Profexo because we believed Toronto homeowners and commercial property managers deserved better than that. Not better in a vague, promotional sense—better in a practical, specific sense. Honest pricing. Qualified technicians. Work that holds up. Communication that doesn't disappear after the invoice is paid.

Every service we offer today grew out of real conversations with real clients. We began with furnace installation and repair. Clients asked about air conditioning. Then heat pumps. Then water heaters and water treatment. We grew because the people we served needed us to and because we were capable of doing it well.

Our Mission

We want every client to feel, at the end of every job, that they made the right choice calling us.

That means arriving on time. It means explaining what we found and what we did, in plain language. It means charging what we quoted. It means being reachable after the work is done, not just before.

We focus on long-term relationships over one-time transactions. A client who trusts Profexo is more valuable to us than a client we impress once and never hear from again. That shapes how we behave on every single job—from a minor furnace repair in a North York bungalow to a full commercial HVAC installation in Mississauga.

What We Will Never Do

We will never recommend a replacement when a repair is the honest answer. We will never hand you an invoice that doesn't match the quote we gave you. We will never send an unqualified person to a job that requires certification. And we will never make ourselves hard to reach once your system is installed.

These aren't policies written for a website. They're the reason clients refer their neighbours to us, and the reason those neighbours call back for their next job.

What We Do

Furnace Installation and Repair

We install and service gas furnaces, propane furnaces, and high-efficiency heating systems across Toronto. Every installation starts with a proper heating load calculation because a furnace that's the wrong size for your home wastes energy, wears out faster, and never quite keeps the house comfortable. We get the sizing right before we ever touch a wrench. For repairs, our technicians diagnose accurately and carry the parts most commonly needed on every service call. Most furnace repairs are handled in a single visit.

Boilers and Combi-Boiler Systems

Standard boilers and combination boilers for homes and commercial properties. We work with both hydronic and steam systems, and we understand the older Toronto housing stock—Victorian and Edwardian homes with cast iron radiators—as well as modern radiant floor systems in newer builds.

Air Conditioning

Central air conditioning and ductless mini-split systems for Toronto's humid summers. Proper cooling system sizing matters just as much as furnace sizing—an oversized air conditioner short-cycles, leaves humidity in the air, and wears out components prematurely. We size, install, and service cooling equipment the right way.

Heat Pumps

Air source and ground source heat pumps are one of the most practical upgrades a Canadian homeowner can make. They heat and cool in a single system, operate efficiently across a wide range of outdoor temperatures, and may qualify for rebates through federal and provincial programs including the Canada Greener Homes Initiative. We handle the entire process—assessment, recommendation, installation, and rebate documentation.

Water Heaters and Tankless Systems

Conventional tank water heaters, power vent models, and tankless on-demand systems. We help clients choose based on household size, hot water usage patterns, and long-term cost—not based on what's quickest to install. Replacement is typically completed the same day.

Water Treatment

Toronto's tap water meets safety standards, but water quality varies by neighbourhood and building age. We install reverse osmosis systems, water softeners, and whole-home filtration solutions for clients who want cleaner, better-tasting water at every tap. Every recommendation starts with an honest assessment of your actual water quality.

Ductwork

Custom duct design, installation, and repair. Poor ductwork is one of the most common reasons a well-chosen furnace or air conditioner underperforms. Unbalanced airflow, leaky connections, and improperly sized ducts can add significantly to your heating and cooling costs while reducing comfort. We design and install duct systems that work and repair existing ones that don't.

The Brands We Work With

We install and service equipment from the manufacturers that have proven themselves in Canada's climate—Carrier, Lennox, Trane, Napoleon, Goodman, Rheem, and York, among others. We recommend products based on your home's needs, your budget, and the long-term cost of ownership. Never based on what earns us the better margin.

Where We Work

Our service area includes Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, and the communities in between. We've worked in century-old homes in Cabbagetown, new construction in King City, commercial properties near the Financial District, and everything in between.

If you're in the GTA and you have an HVAC or water treatment need, we can help.
